The job market has become very competitive these days. As per a recent survey in the US, 118 candidates on average apply for a single job vacancy. In India the number of applicants are even higher. Given the immense competition, it has become very important to set yourself apart in the eyes of the employer. Strong academic background and quality work experience may get you through the door, but cracking the interview is another ball game altogether.
Our Services
Skill It Up program aims to develop soft skills in young adults to help them put a stronger case in front of their future employers. We are a non profit that offers workshops on the following areas:
Resume Writing
A lot of youngsters these days do not pay attention to their resumes. In small towns, a resume can be prepared for a meagre Rs. 100. It is a copy paste procedure. Training youngsters in resume writing hence is very important. In the workshop we cover basics of what an ideal resume looks like and how to go about writing one.
Non Verbal Communication
At times before interviewing there is a long process of cold emailing future employers. In this module, we cover how to write professional emails. In addition, we also offer guidance on professional body language and interview attire.
Verbal Communication
Interviews can be very stressful. You maybe the best candidate for the job but it needs to come out during the interview. In this module, we conduct mock interviews and elaborate on how to train for an interview.
